Dean Liu Jian of the School of Science of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and Mr. Sun YuanqiOn September 10, Dean Liu Jian and Professor Sun Yuanqing of the School of Science of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) were invited by Researcher Yang Minghui to visit the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and made a presentation entitled "Catalytic purification of diesel vehicle exhaust and propane" respectively. "Dehydrogenation and Selective Catalysis" and "Construction and Application of Multifunctional Metal-Containing Nanoparticles". With the depletion of petroleum resources and the increasing requirement of CO2 emission due to the greenhouse effect, the search for a new energy-saving technology for automobiles has drawn great attention from all countries. Diesel vehicles have attracted much attention due to their high thermal efficiency, good economic benefits, sufficient power, low CO2 emissions, and durability. Therefore, eliminating the main products of exhaust gas PM and NOx is an important mission of diesel vehicle exhaust gas treatment. In the report, Mr. Liu Jian mainly introduced the research of NOx catalytic reduction wide-temperature sulfur-tolerant catalyst, the design and development of PM combustion efficient catalyst, the four-way catalytic purification of diesel vehicle exhaust, and the work of propane dehydrogenation and selective oxidation. It is an excellent achievement in the industrial application of the honeycomb-type high-efficiency denitration catalyst. Mr. Sun Yuanqing mainly introduced the preparation of different metal nanoparticles and their applications in bioimaging and electrocatalysis, such as the synthesis of magnetic/fluorescent EuS nanocrystals for bioimaging, and the preparation of near-infrared second region Au/Cu alloy nanoparticles clusters and constructed biological carbon-based metal composites as HER electrocatalysts with excellent performance. The report attracted the attention of teachers and classmates from Ningbo Institute of Materials. After the report, they had a heated discussion with Mr. Liu Jian and Mr. Sun Yuanqing on the future development of catalytic purification of diesel vehicle exhaust and the application of metal nanoparticles.
