Dr. Minghui Yang, researcher, doctoral supervisor, and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Department of Chemistry, University of Liverpool, UK, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Edinburgh, UK in 2010. From 2010 to 2013, he was engaged in the research of new energy materials in the Department of Chemistry of Cornell University. In December 2013, he returned to the Chinese Academy of Sciences with the National Overseas High-level Talent Introduction Program (Youth Project), and is currently the head of the solid functional materials research team at the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He serves as a member of the Gas and Humidity Sensing Technology Professional Committee of the Sensitive Technology Branch of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, a member of the Rare Earth Catalysis and Process Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, a young member of the Rare Earth Crystal Professional Committee of the Chinese Rare Earth Society, and an Academic Editor of The Innovation journal. In 2014, he was awarded the Liaoning Province Hundred and Ten Thousand Project Talent Program (ten thousand people), in 2015, he was awarded the Outstanding Young Scientist of Shenyang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The first level), as the project leader, he was supported by the Ningbo 3315 innovation team, supported by the Zhejiang Provincial Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2019, and was elected to the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) in the same year. In the past five years, he has presided over the general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (2 projects), participated in the national key R&D project (1 project), and presided over the STS key deployment sub-project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (1 project).
Yang Minghui has been engaged in the scientific research of solid materials for more than ten years, mainly focusing on the design, synthesis, crystal structure analysis, morphology control and application research of solid functional materials. His representative work includes the discovery of the cis arrangement of nitrogen and oxygen in solid materials, and solid phase separation. The application of mesoporous nitrides and metal nitrogen (oxide) compounds in catalysis and sensing by the method of preparation of mesoporous nitrides, related achievements have published 220 articles in journals such as Nature Materials, Nature Chemistry, Angewandte Chemie, Journal of the American Chemical Society, etc. ( Among them, there are 156 corresponding author articles and 14 first author articles), and 38 invention patents (including 8 Chinese invention patents and 1 PCT international patent have been authorized).
